I
have wanted to record an album of love songs for a very long time.
Many of these songs are among my favorites from the era of the
big band, often referred to as jazz standards, or
torch songs. All the songs on this recording have
that same heart-on-the-sleeve feeling, including two you have
never heard before, the MEDLEY: Its Always You,
and This Is Too Wonderful. Both tunes were written
in 1958 by my new friend Ed Wasil. They are wonderful songs, and
I am privileged to be the first to record them.
This
is mood music for the romantic . . . so get into the mood.
